I developed a generative AI solution to convert unstructured sales inquiries into structured data, extracting key insights on programming languages, SDKs, and platforms. This enabled data-driven decision-making for product managers based on actual data which was impossible before. My breakthrough discovery was that Ghostscript on Windows servers was the most popular use case. Optimizing Growth Analytics for PDF.co
After PDF.co’s acquisition by Epapyrus, I identified a critical gap in tracking key growth metrics. The company relied on fragmented data from Google Analytics and its payment platform, which failed to capture API usage accurately.
To solve this, I mapped the full data flow and discovered valuable insights hidden in API logs. I built an ELT pipeline to transfer these logs to BigQuery, enabling scalable analysis. Using Tableau, I developed real-time dashboards to track API adoption, user behavior, and engagement. A key breakthrough was leveraging HTTP referrer headers in API logs to pinpoint traffic sources. This analysis led to a surprising discovery: PDF.co’s fastest-growing user segment was not developers but no-code/low-code users on platforms like Zapier and Make. This insight reshaped the company’s strategy, prioritizing onboarding, UX improvements, and deeper integrations to drive adoption.
